Today On Parade
The bright citrus flavor of lemon is difficult to top in desserts but, it can be equally satisfying in savory dishes. In my Parade article this week it’s all about 21 Spectacular Savory Dishes Using Lemon. Toss freshly squeezed lemon juice with butter to dress pasta or use it along with fresh thyme to pump up the flavor of roast chicken. It works in side dishes as well, such as a luscious Italian risotto or when paired with honey it takes a simple chicken dish to a whole new level. Lemon is also a terrific way to enhance the fresh flavor of seafood like shrimp or salmon and provides the perfect acidic element to add zing to a vinaigrette or homemade salad dressing.
