Apple Cinnamon Biscuit Muffins are an extension of the favorite house bread of the South. Dipped in butter, then coated with cinnamon sugar, the centers are filled with apple jelly and baked. They make a tasty start to any day.
Easy Apple Cinnamon Biscuit Muffins Recipe
It’s nice to take advantage of convenience items once in a while to make a quick breakfast. This recipe utilizes frozen biscuits and it works like a charm. How to make Apple Cinnamon Biscuit Muffins: (Scroll down for full printable recipe)
- Prepare Pan – Preheat the oven to 375°F. Spray 8 cups of a muffin tin with cooking spray and set aside.
- Biscuits – Thaw frozen biscuits in the microwave on 50% power. Alternatively, thaw in the refrigerator covered with plastic wrap overnight.
- Cinnamon Sugar – Mix together the sugar and cinnamon until combined. Dip each biscuit in melted butter then sprinkle all sides with the cinnamon sugar mixture.
- Transfer to Pan – Place each into a muffin cup. Using your thumb or a shot glass, make a deep well in the center. Drop 1 tsp apple jelly into the center.
- Oven Bake for 14-16 minutes or until the tops are golden. After baking sprinkle with any leftover cinnamon sugar
- Glaze – In a small bowl mix together half and half, sugar and vanilla until all of the sugar has dissolved. Drizzle the biscuits then serve immediately.

Notes
1. The apple jelly will melt and infuse the flavor into the center of the biscuits. As the center of the biscuit rises, some may escape. Make sure your oven is lined with aluminum foil just in case it drips from the pan.
