  • Ingredients you’ll need to make homemade Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles: All purpose flour, butter, light brown sugar, vanilla extract, salt and mini semi sweet chocolate chips. For the chocolate coating you’ll need milk chocolate baking chips, semi sweet baking chips and solid vegetable shortening.
  • Kitchen gadgets you’ll need: A large bowl, a small bowl, a small cookie or ice cream scoop, two forks or a candy fork, a baking sheet. wax paper, measuring cups and spoons.
  • It’s important to follow the recommendation of baking the flour and allowing ample time for it to cool prior to mixing up the cookie dough. See how in the next section and in the Cook’s note of the recipe card.
  • You’ll also note, there are no eggs in the cookie dough mixture.
  • I prefer using mini chocolate chips for the truffle dough mixture as they hold together better. It’s not necessary to use mini chips for the coating, standard size chocolate chips will do for the chocolate coating.
  • Use any leftover melted chocolate and drizzle the tops of the truffles. You can also decorate them with colorful sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet. Decorate them for Easter, Valentine’s Day, Christmas, Halloween and more.
  • Store Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough Truffles chilled in the refrigerator in an airtight container for up to one week.

  1. Now the flour is the risk in not baking( raw cookie dough). 🙁
As if eggs were not enough of a concern they are finding e. Coli in flour, hence new concern in making yummy items like this ……what a downer!

  2. Do you have many egg less recipes? I have a student who can’t have eggs in food items in her diet.
