I’d like to introduce you to my foodie sister and dear friend, Sherri. Sherri and I met when I won the National Flour Power! Baking Competition in 2012. Part of my winning was to attend a live Showcase event held in Franklin Tennessee where I recreated my winning cake in front of a large audience of cooks, bakers and chefs. Sherri, was the emcee of the event, as a previous winner with her “Smokin’ Baby Got Back Ribs.” What a fun and unforgettable day we had on the day of the Showcase event. - Kitchen tools you’ll need: A large skillet, sharp knife and cutting board, spoon for stirring, measuring cups and spoons.
- To make brown butter, salted or unsalted butter is simmered on the stovetop until the milk solids are toasted. This process takes patience but the nutty flavor that it imparts is the key to the flavor of these baby lima beans.
- When making this recipe, pull the lima beans from the freezer and let them sit at room temperature while you make the butter to thaw slightly.
