Premier of TNT’s On The Menu – When I saw the trailer for TNT’s new competition cooking show, I immediately loved the concept. Think about it, what if you were tasked with creating your favorite restaurant’s next menu item? Contestants on TNT’s new competition cooking show, On The Menu, will be premiering tomorrow Friday October 3rd at 8/7c on TNT where cooks will be doing just that. Cooks will compete to create the next dish to appear on the menu of a well-known restaurant near you. With high suspense and stiff competition, competitors will duke it out with the guidance of Chef Emeril Lagasse as their seasoned industry insider, and Host Ty Pennington as their confidant and sounding board.
On the show competitors will go beyond their home cooking passion and are challenged to create dishes that are not only delicious, but fit the selected restaurants current menu offerings. Viewers at home will get to watch the creation of the winning dish from conception to execution, and then the winning item will be featured on the menu.
Unlike other cooking competition shows-you can ACTUALLY go try the winning dish, in store, the very next day. The first three weeks of the show airing, viewers can download a special offer for the first three featured restaurants (Chili’s, Denny’s, California Pizza Kitchen) to try the dish. On The Menu will take cooking competitions to a whole new level and involve the viewers in the cooking competition process like never before. It’s an exciting concept and I can’t wait to watch.
