In a medium bowl using an electric mixer on medium-high speed whip together butter, powdered sugar, honey, cinnamon and vanilla extract until fully combined.
Transfer butter mixture to an airtight container or use a scoop to form into individual servings. You can also place on wax paper and form into a log, then chill for 1 hour or until firm.
Store leftovers chilled.
Notes
Use Room Temperature Butter - Before you begin, it's important to give ample time for the butter to soften prior to whipping it so it will easily blend with the other ingredients. It seems like a small step, but it's important for the ingredients to fully combine.
Salted Butter - You can make this recipe using unsalted butter. When doing so, add 1/4-1/2 teaspoon salt.
Double the Recipe - Should you decide to double the recipe, you should pull back just a bit on the cinnamon and don't start with double the amount. Add 1 teaspoon then stop and taste and adjust the amount from there.
Honey - Honey is a natural ingredient that has subtle nuances depending on where its from. Honey has a very robust flavor and can overtake the other ingredients if you add too much. If you'd like to add more, start with 1 tablespoon at a time to avoid adding too much.
Use Immediately or Chill - You can make this cinnamon honey butter in minutes and use it immediately, if you'd like to. Otherwise, make it and let chill for at least one hour or overnight to allow the flavors time to combine and mellow.
