Ingredients

  • 3 large russet potatoes scrubbed and dried peel intact
  • 2-3 Tbsp olive oil (You can also use an oil mister or cooking spray.)
  • 1 tsp seasoned salt or Cajun seasoning plus additional for after air frying
  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic
  • chopped parsley for garnishing (optional)

Instructions

  • Scrub and clean potatoes then slice into 1/4 inch slices. Rinse with cold water and pat dry with a paper towel.
  • Place into a medium bowl. Drizzle with olive oil and season with seasoned salt and granulated garlic. Toss to fully coat.
  • Arrange in the basket of an air fryer. If the basket is too full cook in 2 batches. (Keep warm on a sheet pan in a 200°F oven between batches.)
  • Cook at 375°F for 10 minutes, then shake the basket or flip. Spray with cooking spray, if needed. Continue to cook for another 8-10 minutes until crisp and golden.
  • Sprinkle with more seasoned salt (to taste) and garnish with fresh parsley.
  • Serve immediately with ketchup, comeback sauce or any of your favorite sauces for dipping.
  • Optional Garlic and Parmesan Topping: Saute 4 cloves of minced garlic in one teaspoon of butter or olive oil over medium heat. Transfer the french fries to a platter, then sprinkle the garlic over the fries along with freshly grated Parmesan cheese and parsley.
