Oven Fried Bacon
thick sliced bacon
jellyroll pans or similar
aluminum foil or oven rack fitted into the pan
Preheat the oven to 400°F. Line 2 jelly roll pans with parchment paper.
Alternatively, you can use heavy duty aluminum foil or fit the pan with an oven safe rack sprayed with cooking spray.
Arrange the bacon on the pan without touching.
Bake for 15-18 minutes. Adjust the baking time as needed based on the thickness of the bacon.
After baking remove from the pan to paper towels to drain.
Freeze the bacon drippings in an ice cube tray then store in a plastic bag.
Variations - Prior to baking:
1.) Sprinkle the bacon slices liberally with brown sugar
2.) Sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper
3.) Brush with pure maple syrup
