Ingredients

  • 12 frozen unbaked yeast rolls thawed but still cold
  • 4 Tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 2 Tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 Tbsp fresh parsley finely chopped
  • 1/2 tsp dry Italian seasoning
  • 2 medium cloves garlic minced
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese OR colby jack or mozzarella cheese
  • 36 1/2 inch cubes colby jack cheese

Instructions

  • Brush the bottom and sides of a 12 count muffin tin cups with melted butter. Reserve the rest for brushing rolls just before baking.
  • Let frozen rolls stand at room temperature for 15 minutes OR just until thawed but still cold.
  • On a nonstick surface, flatten dough into a 3 inch round. Place 3 cubes of cheese into center then bring edges together and pinch to seal.
  • Place seam side down in muffin cups. Repeat until all rolls are filled. Cover with a damp cloth and let rise for 1 hour or until doubled in size.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F. Warm remaining butter to melt. Mix Parmesan, parsley, Italian seasoning and garlic into butter. Brush tops and sides of rolls with butter mixture. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and shredded cheese.
  • Bake for 18-22 minutes until puffed and golden.
  • Serve immediately as an appetizer or a side dish with pizza sauce for dipping.
