Notes
There Are No Wrong Ingredient Amounts for Charcuterie Boards - In this tutorial I did add measurements for you to use as a guideline for this board. There is no wrong amount of each ingredient. The amount needed can vary depending on the type of board you're using or how large of a crowd you're feeding. You can easily adjust the amounts if you need more, or less.
Shortcut Sandwiches - You can purchase uncrustables or make your own. See the instructions in the recipe card for instructions. If it's difficult to find the famous Uncrustables, no worries! You can easily purchase a sandwich sealer and make your own. Please Note: after many attempts you only need to apply a small amount of peanut butter and jelly when creating your own. Don't go overboard or the edges won't seal quite as clean. You can also just cut sandwiches into triangles.
Utilize Small Bowls - To create a space for the Ranch dip or dressing, goldfish and cheez-its I recommend starting with 3 smaller bowls. Choose bowls that are a fun shape then arrange the other ingredients on the board around them. There's no right or wrong way to create a charcuterie board. Have fun with it and let the kids get involved.
Cheese - You can use any variety of cheese that your family loves. Colby jack cheese, cheddar cheese, spicy pepper jack cheese, gouda, brie, mozzarella cheese or swiss cheese. You can also use cookie cutters to cut cheese into fun shapes.
Dips - You can use any dip your family likes. Hummus, guacamole, french onion dip, sweet fruit dip or cheese dip.
Fruit - You can add banana and apple slices but these are best prepared just before serving.
Sweets - You can use mini muffins or bite-size brownies, cookies, cookie brittle or small candies.
Vegetables - Pick easy to grab veggies that can be prepped in advance. Cherry tomatoes, mini peppers, snap peas and cucumber slices will work well in addition to the vegetables highlighted on this after school snack board.
Nuts - If diet needs allow, you can add nuts like cashews, almonds or pecans.
Creativity and Visual Appeal - If you have other fruits, vegetables, or sweet treats that you like or do not like, feel free to switch out these items with your favorite picks and flavors. That's the point, I wanted to give you a visual so you can do what best fits you, your guests and kiddos personal taste.
