Notes
Flour or Biscuit Mix - This recipe is specifically designed to be easy to make. It's fine to use a store brand of biscuit and baking mix in place of Bisquick. That said, this isn't interchangeable with all purpose flour.
Milk - Whole milk, cold buttermilk or 2% milk will work.
Fruit - You could toss 1 cup of raisins into the dry mixture prior to adding the milk for easy cinnamon raisin biscuits.
Topping - You can brush the top with an egg wash for a deep golden color and sprinkle with cinnamon sugar before baking.
Add Nuts - Stir chopped pecans or walnuts into the cinnamon-sugar Bisquick mix filling for a little crunch.
Citrus - Add a little fresh orange zest to the glaze for a bright citrus note.
Maple Glaze - Replace some or all of the cream in the glaze with maple syrup for a cozy maple-cinnamon flavor.
Cream Cheese Glaze - Swap the simple glaze for a quick cream cheese icing to make them taste even more like cinnamon rolls.
