Ingredients

  • Simple Syrup:
  • 1 ½ cups granulated sugar
  • 1 cup filtered water
  • ½ cup fresh lemon juice
  • Lemonade:
  • 4 cups filtered water (may adjust to taste) (or sparkling water)
  • 2 cups fresh lemon juice
  • 2 medium lemons thinly sliced
  • ice, additional lemon slices and mint for serving

Instructions

  • On the stovetop in a small saucepan over medium high heat mix together sugar, water and lemon juice. Heat, stirring until sugar has fully dissolved, then remove from heat.
  • Add to a one gallon pitcher with water, lemon juice and sliced lemon. Cover and chill for at least 4 hours.
  • Just before serving, add ice and serve with additional lemon slices and mint for garnishing, if desired.
