4cupsgarlic, onion and oregano seasoned spaghetti or marinara sauce(Or your favorite)
3 cupsshredded mozzarella cheesedivided use
3tablespoongrated Parmesan cheeseplus additional for serving
2tablespoonchopped fresh Italian parsley or basil
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400°F. Spray a 13 x 9 inch baking dish with cooking spray. Set aside.
In a large skillet, heat oil over medium high heat. Add sausage and onion. Cook until no pink remains about 5-8 minutes.
To the skillet add Italian seasoning, salt, red pepper flakes and minced garlic. Stir well and cook for 1-2 minutes. Remove from heat, drain any excess fat.
To assemble: Spread 1 cup sauce on bottom of dish. Arrange ⅓ ravioli over sauce. Sprinkle with ⅓ cooked sausage and ¾ cup mozzarella cheese. Repeat process, ending with sauce drizzled over the top. (Reserve final ¾ cup mozzarella and Parmesan cheese until end of baking.)
To bake: Cover with foil and bake for 30-35 minutes. Lower oven temperature to 375°F. Uncover, sprinkle with reserved shredded mozzarella and Parmesan. Continue to bake for an additional 15-20 minutes or until cheese has melted, bubbly around the edges and ravioli is tender.
Let stand 5 minutes then serve garnished with parsley and additional Parmesan cheese, if desired.
