You can either place a pan with boiling water on the bottom oven rack or use a bain marie by double wrapping the springform pan with heavy-duty foil to prevent water from seeping in. No need to use a traditional water bath.

Banana slices for garnishing should only be used when serving immediately to prevent them from turning brown.
