  • Use a whisk to fully combine and the seasonings have been evenly distributed.
  • Transfer to an airtight container. Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours or overnight.
  • Serve with steak, chicken, pork, vegetables, egg rolls, chips or crackers for dipping.

Notes

  • Mayonnaise - You can use a Japanese mayonnaise, like kewpie mayonnaise. You can adjust the calories for this recipe just like any other dressing, by using a lower fat mayonnaise of choice.
  • Sweetness - You can also lower the sugar content using your favorite sugar substitute in place of the sugar called for in the recipe. Likewise, if you'd like a sweeter sauce, use ketchup and add more sugar.
  • Desired Consistency - You can adjust the thickness of this yummy sauce to suit your taste. Add heavy cream, dry sherry, white wine, or rice vinegar to your taste. You can also use apple cider vinegar.
  • Spice - You could add a pinch of cayenne pepper for added spice.
  • Serving Options - We use it as a dipping sauce for french fries, sushi, grilled hibachi steak, hibachi chicken, pork, potstickers, as a shrimp sauce and drizzled over fish. It's also might tasty served on hamburgers or with vegetables as a dip. Use it as a sauce for noodles, a salad dressing, we've even drizzled this delicious sauce on tacos.
