  • 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
  • 1 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Strawberry Layer:
  • 1 1/2 cups diced strawberries
  • 1 3 oz box strawberry Jell-o
  • 3/4 cup boiling water
  • 1 1/2 cups whipped topping i.e. Cool Whip (from additional 8 ounce container) use remaining Cool Whip on the top
  • Topping:
  • 1 8 oz container frozen whipped topping thawed
  • fresh strawberries for garnishing

Instructions

  • Make the Crust: Crush Golden Oreos in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Mix with melted butter until evenly combined.
  • Press mixture onto the bottom of a 13x9-inch dish in an even layer. Pop into the freezer to chill and set for 5-10 minutes, while preparing the cheesecake layer.
  • Cream Cheese Layer: In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened cream cheese, 1 cup heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread evenly over the chilled crust.
  • Strawberry Layer: Clean, trim and dice strawberries.
  • In a medium bowl, dissolve strawberry Jell-O in boiling water to dissolve. Place bowl in freezer just until chilled, but not set. Into the Jell-O stir in the diced strawberries and fold in the whipped topping until evenly distributed and combined. Pour strawberry mixture over cream cheese layer.
  • Frost the top of the dessert with the remaining 8 oz whipped topping. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours to set.
  • Slice and serve garnished with fresh strawberry slices.

  • Fresh Whipped Cream – You can make homemade whipped cream to use for the the layers in place of whipped topping. You’ll need 1 1/2 cups for the strawberry layer and 2-3 cups for the top.
  • Berries – You could adapt this recipe using other fruit like raspberries, blueberries or blackberries.
