Ingredients
- Crust:
- 1 14 oz package Golden Oreo cookies
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter melted
- Cream Cheese Layer:
- 2 8 oz blocks cream cheese softened
- 1 1/2 cups heavy cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- Strawberry Layer:
- 1 1/2 cups diced strawberries
- 1 3 oz box strawberry Jell-o
- 3/4 cup boiling water
- 1 1/2 cups whipped topping i.e. Cool Whip (from additional 8 ounce container) use remaining Cool Whip on the top
- Topping:
- 1 8 oz container frozen whipped topping thawed
- fresh strawberries for garnishing
Instructions
- Make the Crust: Crush Golden Oreos in a food processor until fine crumbs form. Mix with melted butter until evenly combined.
- Press mixture onto the bottom of a 13×9-inch dish in an even layer. Pop into the freezer to chill and set for 5-10 minutes, while preparing the cheesecake layer.
- Cream Cheese Layer: In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to beat the softened cream cheese, 1 cup heavy cream, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth. Spread evenly over the chilled crust.
- Strawberry Layer: Clean, trim and dice strawberries.
- In a medium bowl, dissolve strawberry Jell-O in boiling water to dissolve. Place bowl in freezer just until chilled, but not set. Into the Jell-O stir in the diced strawberries and fold in the whipped topping until evenly distributed and combined. Pour strawberry mixture over cream cheese layer.
- Frost the top of the dessert with the remaining 8 oz whipped topping. Chill in the refrigerator for at least 4 hours to set.
- Slice and serve garnished with fresh strawberry slices.
