3Tbspolive oil
2lb85/15 ground beef
1mediumyellow oniondiced

110 3/4 ozcan low sodium beef broth
1/2cupketchup
16 ozcan tomato paste
1/4cupWorcestershire sauce
2Tbspdark chili powder
1tspgarlic salt
1tsppaprika
1tspground mustard

Instructions
On the stove using a large 12-inch skillet heat olive oil over medium-high heat. To the pan add ground beef and onion. Cook until no pink remains. Drain excess fat from pan before you add the rest of the ingredients.
Add beef broth, ketchup, tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, chili, garlic salt, paprika, ground mustard, pepper flakes, celery salt, cumin and hot sauce. Stir to combine. (Break up the ground beef with a potato masher or meat chopper into smaller pieces).
Simmer uncovered on low for 20-30 minutes or just until slightly reduced, stirring occasionally.
Serve on hot dogs with additional toppings, as desired.
Notes
Protein - You can make this chili using ground chicken or ground turkey in the same amount, if desired.
Beef Stock - Just as you can thicken the chili with tomato paste, you can thin the consistency using additional beef stock or beef broth.
Ketchup - You could use canned tomato sauce in place of ketchup.
Serving Tip - When hosting a larger gathering, this recipe easily doubles and can be reheated and kept warm in a slow cooker for serving.
