Ingredients

  • 1 cup buttermilk
  • 1 1/2 cups real mayonnaise
  • 2 Tbsp fresh chives finely chopped
  • 2-3 cloves minced garlic Adjust amount to taste
  • 1 Tbsp flat leaf parsley finely chopped
  • 2 tsp coarse sea salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 2 tsp fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic or garlic powder
  • 1/2 tsp onion powder
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp dried dill weed or 1/2 tsp fresh

Instructions

  • In a medium size mixing bowl whisk together buttermilk and mayonnaise. Add remaining ingredients and seasonings. 
  • To the bowl add chives, garlic, parsely, salt, sugar, lemon juice, granulated garlic, onion powder, black pepper and dill.
  • Continue to whisk the mixture until the ingredients are fully incorporated and no lumps remain. 
  • Pour into an airtight container and chill for at least 4 hours before serving. Store chilled for up to 5 days.

Notes

To make a thicker dressing, decrease the buttermilk by 1/4 cup and increase the mayonnaise by 1/4 cup.
