How to Make the Best Air Fryer French Fries Recipe
- Ingredients you’ll need to make homemade Air Fryer French Fries: Russet Potatoes, olive oil, seasoned salt or Cajun seasoning, granulated garlic and chopped parsley. You’ll also need fresh garlic and grated Parmesan cheese for the optional topping.
- Kitchen tools you’ll need: Air fryer, sharp knife and cutting board, medium bowl, measuring spoons.
- I use olive oil in this recipe but you could also use vegetable oil or canola oil.
- Different varieties of potatoes have different amounts of starch content. Russet potatoes will give you the best result for this particular recipe.
- You can also lighten these french fries up further by using an oil mister or cooking spray in place of olive oil.
- Rinsing the potatoes after cutting will remove any starch on the surface. Doing so will result in a crispier french fry.
- Depending on the style of air fryer you have the cooking time may vary slightly. Know your appliance and made any adjustments as needed.
- You can finish these fries with sauteed minced garlic and a sprinkle of Parmesan cheese, if desired. This is completely optional but adds another dimension to the flavor. Simply saute minced garlic in a small amount of butter then sprinkle on top of the french fries and top with grated Parmesan cheese after frying.
- Store Air Fryer French Fries chilled in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Reheat in the air fryer at 350°F just until crispy and heated thru.

Hi Melissa! I have printed many of your recipes and used many.
Oh these Air Fryer French Fries, how much is 1 serving? I’m counting saturated fats and love fries at the same time. I am allowed only 20 grams of sat fat per day, so I’m desperately looking for good things to cook. These look delicious!!! Going to make them tonight!
Thanks for all that you create for us strangers!!
Hi Donna, this recipe is for 2. So look thru the list and halve everything to give you an idea of serving size. Thanks so much!
Hey and thanks for answering so fast! I do appreciate it.
I meant, what is the serving size, like is it 10 fries, or maybe 25? I looked on your site, but didn’t see the answer to that. If you don’t mind and have an idea, please let me know.
I don’t see how you have time to cook all of these delicious foods!
Thanks again!!
I can’t give you an exact amount. It depends on the size of the potatoes, how thinly you slice them etc. You’ll have to come up with that in real time.
