  • Prep the Scallops – Thaw scallops per package directions on a paper towel lined plate. Pat dry with doubled paper towels.

  • 1 1/2 lbs frozen sea scallops thawed per package directions
  • 2 Tbsp unsalted butter melted
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tsp seafood seasoning i.e. Old Bay seasoning or seafood magic
  • 1/2 tsp seasoned salt
  • 1/2 tsp lemon pepper or black pepper adjust pepper to taste
  • 1/2 tsp granulated garlic or garlic powder

Instructions

  • Preheat air fryer to 400°F (If your air fryer doesn’t have a preheat option, then heat at 400 degrees F for 4 minutes).
  • Thaw scallops per package directions on a a paper towel lined plate. Pat dry with doubled paper towels and remove the tough side muscle.
  • In a small bowl stir together melted butter, oil, seafood seasoning, seasoned salt, lemon pepper (or black pepper) and garlic. Brush scallops on all sides with butter mixture.
  • Line air fryer basket with paper liner for easy clean-up,(or spray basket with cooking spray)
  • Arrange scallops in a single layer, leaving space between each one in the air fryer basket. Cook in batches, if needed.
  • Cook scallops for 10 minutes, flipping halfway through. (If your scallops on the smaller size, check then at 8 minutes.) Scallops should be opaque all the way through when done with a golden brown exterior and an internal temperature of 125-130 degrees f.
