Easy Peanutty Popcorn Bunny Munchies Recipe
I love making these sorts of fun edible “crafts” with my kids. Whether you’re a Mom or Dad with young children, or you enjoy making sweets with grandchildren, nieces. nephews and friends this recipe is a fun option to make. Making seasonal themed sweets and snacks is always exciting for children and adults as well. These bunny munchies sometimes called “bunny bait” can be adapted to any special occasion or holiday by changing up the color scheme of the sprinkles and M&M’s.
How to Make the BEST Peanutty Popcorn Bunny Munchies Recipe
- Ingredients you’ll need to make homemade Peanutty Popcorn Bunny Munchies: Salted popcorn, peanuts, vanilla almond bark, pastel M&M’s and Easter or Spring sprinkles.
- Kitchen tools you’ll need: Large bowl, measuring cups and spoons, large non stick spoon or spatula, measuring cups and spoon and wax paper lined baking sheets.
- To make things go smoothly I highly recommend that you gather all of your supplies and prepare the baking sheets with wax paper before you begin. Doing so, once the popcorn is coated in melted almond bark, you can work quickly to spread it onto the sheets to dry.
- You should also add the sprinkle while the popcorn is wet so they will stick.
- Please note, once the M&M’s are stirred into the bunny bark, they will also be coated. If this bothers you, wait to add them to the mix once the vanilla coating has dried.
- You could also use chocolate almond bark to make these bunny munchies.
- If you have someone in your family that can’t have peanuts, you can use plain M&M’s or another type of candy instead.
- Melt the almond bark in the microwave per the package instructions. Repeat the process until it’s completely smooth stopping to stir periodically.

Peanutty Popcorn Bunny Munchies
Servings: 15 cups
Ingredients
- 1 24 oz package vanilla Almond Bark
- 12 cups salted popcorn
- 2 cups salted cocktail peanuts
- 1 12.6 oz package Pastel Peanut M & M's divided
- 1/4 cup Easter sprinkles divided
Instructions
- Line 2 baking sheets with wax paper, or spritz with cooking spray.
- Divide the Almond Bark into individual squares to make it easier to melt.
- To a large mixing bowl, add the popcorn, peanuts, 1/2 of the peanut M & M's and 2 tablespoons of sprinkles. Toss it all together.
- Melt the Almond Bark in a microwave safe bowl per the instructions on the package. Watch closely to prevent scorching Stop and stir every 15 seconds to combine. When it's completely melted, pour over the popcorn.
- Stir until all of the ingredients are well coated.
- Divide the coated popcorn between the two pans and spread out to dry. Press the remaining peanut M & M's into the popcorn while the coating is warm and top with remaining sprinkles. Cool completely then break into pieces.
