Easy Easter Charcuterie Board Recipe

What is a charcuterie board? These types of boards can be put together in a million different ways. They may feature only snacks like a variety of shaved or cured meats along with cheese and gourmet spreads. They may also be served with fresh fruit and cheese and crackers. You can make a taco charcuterie board with various toppings, a hot dog charcuterie board or a homemade chili board with choice of fixings for each person to make their own. I’ve also made a seafood charcuterie for small bites snacking and different holiday theme boards just as this Easter inspired charcuterie. In short, the sky’s the limit with options. If you’re looking to create something fun for Easter breakfast or brunch this year that’s a little out of the box, I present to you a beautiful Easter themed charcuterie board to make an edible centerpiece for the table. Charcuterie boards can be overwhelming for some but not this one, this board is so simple that even the kids can help. You can use mini cookie cutters to cut out the cheese into different spring themed shapes and sprinkle pretty green colored shredded flaked coconut onto your board for a fun spring feeling.

  • What fresh fruit should I include on the charcuterie board? I used Kiwi, Strawberries, Cantaloupe and Honey Dew Melon to add color. You can use any fresh berries or fruit that you like. Should you choose to use bananas, please note they should be added just before serving.
  • What savory additions will I need? You’ll need Sharp Cheddar Cheese, White Cheddar Cheese or any variety of cheese that you enjoy. I also included Raspberry Jam for spreading on the cheese and crackers.
  • You’ll need a variety of cookies and crackers  to put together this charcuterie board. I used Vanilla Wafers, Strawberry Wafers, Golden Oreo’s, Pepperidge Farm Chessman Spring shapes, Pepperidge Farm Verona Strawberry Cookies.

  • Other items you’ll need: Green tinted sweetened flaked coconut to make the faux Easter grass, small bowls, a small clay pot, a small mason jar or bowl for the jam, mini cookie cutters in a variety of shapes for the cheese and of course a large round or rectangular tray.
  • If you don’t have a charcuterie board, consider using a large baking pan lined with wax paper or parchment.
