Toffee Apple Pizza
After having a playdate party at our house, when I asked what they’d like to eat the consensus was unanimous. Pizza. Searching in my pantry to see what I could come up with for dessert a light bulb went off. Why just have pizza for the entrée, why not for dessert too? I happened to have all of these ingredients on hand and so it went. Toffee Apple dessert pizza came to life.

- This pizza can be into any shape you like but I made it into the shape of a rectangle.
- If you prefer, it can be made into a circle to resemble a pie.
- Refrigerated pizza dough works like a charm for this recipe. If you prefer, you can make your own pizza dough. Think thin crust pizza, and homemade may take longer to bake.
- A can of dulce de leche found on the Hispanic foods aisle is perfection for this pizza. If you’re unable to find it go for a caramel that’s thick not thin like a caramel syrup. See how to make your own dulce de leche in a slow cooker.
- You can serve this with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream or all on it’s own.
