  1. I marinated this for 2 days, not just overnight. So I don’t know if that added to my problem…but I realized too late that 3 lbs of meat was MUCH too much for my largest pan. It was totally unable to sauté, ruined the whole thing. Flavor wasn’t good. What in the world pan did you use to fit 3 lbs of meat and still get it crispy on the outside?

  2. I love this recipe but the meat is a little tough and I marinated it overnight. How can I fix that so it’s a little softer.

    1. Maybe cook it for a bit shorter time period and it may be more to your liking. Also, make sure it’s a quality cut to begin with and your results will be good every time. My guess is, it may need to be cooked for less time.

  3. Is there a way to make this with a softer cut of meat or in the crockpot? I find the sirloin is really tough on my stomach.

  4. It’s a keeper! I hate making steaks because they never turn out tasty or like the restaurants. My son never says, Mom this steak is good. Therefore, I rarely make steak. However, I am on a tight budget and bought this cheap cut of steak.

This recipe was perfect! The marinade was both sweet, tangy, fresh (not salty). I did add only half of 1/4 soy sauce. The other one half of the 1/4 cup, I also chose to use red wine vinegar to tenderize the steak since we hate chewy steak, plus sirloin is a cheap piece of steak it needs tenderizing to me. I did use the cilantro which gave it that fresh taste like u suggested. It was amazing!

The best part, son said this steak is good (he said it twice). Anytime he says that, it’s a keeper. Thanks!

    1. So happy you enjoyed this one, Nicole. And, being a bargain shopper myself kudos for turning a budget friendly cut of meat into a feast for your family!

  5. Thank you for sharing this recipe! I made this with tri-tip instead, it was so so so so so so good!! I marinated for about 6 hours and I also added some chopped jalapeno. My boyfriend loved it too. yum!

    1. Worcestershire sauce has anchovies so, that’s not an option. You could replace it with a steak sauce that he can tolerate just read the label carefully.

  6. Made this dish tonight,it was great and easy. I paied with baked potatoes and mexican corn! Hubby said he would eat it again!

  7. I was looking for something to go over Bake Potato’s for Super Bowl looks like this would be simple and excellent. I can’t wait to try it out.

  8. WOW !! I just made this tonight ! This recipe was totally amazing for my family member, too !

  9. This was good. Do not add additional salt as the soy sauce is salty. I added 1/4 cup of red wine to the marinade as well, I think it added to the flavor
