Ingredients

  • 3 lb top sirloin steak cut into 1-inch cubes
  • Marinade:
  • 1/4 cup Teriyaki or Soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil (or vegetable oil) plus additional for cooking
  • 2 Tbsp chopped fresh Italian parsley or cilantro
  • 3 clove garlic minced
  • 1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
  • 2 tsp steak seasoning divided [i.e. Mesquite/Montreal/Chicago/ Kansas City your preference]
  • black pepper to taste
  • Vegetables:
  • 1 large red bell pepper seeded and sliced
  • 1 large green bell pepper seeded and sliced
  • 1 large sweet onion cut into thin wedges

Instructions

  • Use a sharp knife to cut sirloin steaks into 1-inch pieces.
  • Marinade: In a small bowl whisk together the teriyaki sauce, brown sugar, olive oil, parsley, 3 clove minced garlic and red pepper flakes. Place into a plastic storage bag and refrigerate for several hours or overnight.
  • Prepare: Remove the sirloin tips from the marinade. Discard the marinade.

  • Cook for 5 minutes scraping the brown bits from the bottom of the skillet. Cook until browned and crisp tender.

        The brown sugar adds depth and you dispose of the marinade….this is a wonderful, go-to recipe; I’ve served it over rice and over noodles or with Italian or French bread to sop up the juices. It is delicious however prepared….

    I enjoyed this yummy and so easy to cook recipe…thank you! I used tip sirloin meat trimmed of fat and a tsp smoked paprika for some nice heat..but next time maybe not as it got my reflux stirred up but my hubby loved it.

        I stepped up my game with this recipe. Thanks for sharing. I made mine a lil too spicy, probably was the Montreal Steak seasoning, but it was perfect for my boyfriend. Mixed it up with white rice. It was a nice change to our dinner menu. Deliciously satisfying
